Locals Food Crew was founded by three friends.
Chef Jacopo Celletti, who cooks with precision and genuine care for the craft.
Giulio and Daniele, who turned a shared passion for food and company into something real.
The word crew is not a branding choice. It means something to us. It means that whoever sits at our table becomes part of something, not an audience watching a performance. There is no distance between us and the people who join our experiences. There is a table, there is food, and there is what we have to share.
We operate from Terrazza Trionfale at Via Trionfale 132 in Prati, five minutes from the Vatican Museums, running three culinary experiences: a hands-on Roman cooking class, a fresh pasta making class from scratch, and a private rooftop dinner with an exclusive Italian menu prepared by Chef Jacopo Celletti.
We do not sell food. We offer something you carry with you after the last course, something that stays past the meal. An experience built around the senses and around memory.
We do not sell a product. We share what we know, what we love, and what we live with every day. The most authentic thing we can give you is exactly this: no shortcuts, no filters, and no simplified versions of Roman cuisine designed to be easier to explain to visitors.
Simplicity and directness are what Locals Food Crew is made of.
We are Roman. We grew up with the rooflines and evening light of this city, with the noise of the markets early in the morning, with the particular way Rome operates between formality and warmth.
Locals Food Crew is a piece of Rome. Not the postcard version, but the real one: direct, generous, and solar in the way that only cities built on centuries of daily life can be.
When you come to us, we hand you the keys to our city. The terrace, the recipes, the table are yours for the duration of your experience.
Chef Jacopo Celletti is the person behind every experience Locals Food Crew runs. He cooks the private dinners, teaches the cooking classes, and guides the pasta sessions from the welcome Spritz through to dessert.
He has been working with traditional Roman cuisine professionally for over a decade. Amatriciana without onion. Carbonara without cream. Pasta dough made correctly, rested before it is shaped, worked with the right pressure. These are not opinions or stylistic preferences. They are the result of years of cooking the same recipes the same way they have always been made in Roman kitchens.
His approach to the classes is direct: every participant cooks at their own station, every step is explained clearly, and the goal is that you understand why the recipe works, not just how to follow it once.
Chef Jacopo teaches in English, Italian, and Spanish.
Terrazza Trionfale at Via Trionfale 132 is the fixed setting for everything Locals Food Crew does. It is a private rooftop in the Prati neighborhood with unobstructed views west toward St. Peter’s Basilica. It is not a shared event space and it is not a restaurant. It is used exclusively for our experiences.
The terrace is covered with a pergola and string lights for evening sessions. It has a full outdoor cooking station for the classes and a dining area where every session ends with a sit-down meal. Elevator access is available from street level.
The Vatican Museums entrance is a five-minute walk from the address. The Ottaviano metro stop on Line A is ten minutes south on foot.
In the event of rain, an elegant indoor space at the same address is available. No experience is cancelled due to weather.
All experiences run from April through October.
Dietary requirements accommodated with 24 hours notice. Every experience is guided in English, Italian, and Spanish.
Hands-on class covering Supplì, traditional Roman pasta sauces, and tiramisù. Taught by Chef Jacopo Celletti. 2.5 hours. From €65.
Make fettuccine or tagliatelle from scratch with a seasonal sauce. 2.5 hours. From €70.
Full traditional Roman dinner prepared by Chef Jacopo Celletti on the exclusive terrace. 2 hours. From €40.
Local Food Crew runs private buyouts of the entire terrace for larger groups, corporate events, celebrations, and custom private dinners. These are arranged directly with the team and are not available through standard online booking.

The terrace location is fixed. You are not booking a vague experience that moves to a different venue. You are booking a specific address, a specific chef, and a specific view of the Vatican.
Every class and dinner is guided in English, Italian, or Spanish. No translation gaps during a recipe instruction. No confusion mid-class.
Dietary requirements are handled directly at the time of booking. Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free adaptations are confirmed when you notify Locals Food Crew at least 24 hours before your experience.
