ROMAN COOKING CLASS

Authentic Roman Cooking Class on a Private Terrace Near the Vatican Museums

What You Will Cook, Eat, and Take Home

This is a hands-on Roman cooking class held on a private rooftop terrace in the Prati neighborhood, five minutes from the Vatican Museums. You do not watch a chef cook and then eat. You cook the food yourself, with direct instruction at every step, then sit down on the terrace to eat what you made.

The class covers three pillars of Roman food culture: Supplì, traditional Roman pasta sauces, and tiramisù. These are not simplified recipes. They are the same preparations used in Roman kitchens, taught with the correct technique, the correct ingredients, and the correct proportions.

What you make:

  • Supplì al telefono (Rome’s classic fried rice balls with tomato and mozzarella)
  • Two traditional Roman pasta sauces (seasonal selection by Chef Jacopo)
  • Tiramisù from scratch

What is included:

  • Welcome Spritz aperitivo on the terrace
  • All ingredients and cooking equipment
  • Hands-on instruction from a professional chef
  • Full sit-down meal of everything you prepared
  • One bottle of wine per three guests
  • Still and sparkling water

  • Duration: 2 hours and 30 minutes
  • Difficulty: Very easy. No cooking experience required
  • Language: English, Italian, Spanish
  • Location: Terrazza Trionfale in Via Trionfale 132 – Rome
  • Price: From €65

Where the Class Takes Place

The cooking class is held on Terrazza Trionfale, a private rooftop terrace at Via Trionfale 132, Rome. The terrace is not shared with other groups or the public. It is used exclusively for Locals Food Crew experiences.

It is located in the Prati neighborhood, directly north of the Vatican. The walk from the Vatican Museums main entrance takes approximately five minutes. Elevator access is available in the building.

The setup on the terrace is a full outdoor kitchen station with professional equipment, ingredients laid out before you arrive, and enough working space for each participant to cook independently rather than observe from the side.

When the class finishes, the station is cleared and the terrace becomes the dining area where you eat the meal you prepared.
